Super-Vim suture anchors (Titanium)

The Super-Vim design incorporates a cancellous thread with a very small core diameter to maximize pull-out strength in cancellous or osteopenic bone. Each Super-Vim comes with two or three # 2 Biofiber sutures of contrasting colors to maximize soft tissue fixation and allow suture identification. The Super-Vim anchors have two suture eyelets to minimize the possibility of having the second suture lock after the first suture is tied.

Available in 5.0mm and 6.5mm diameters with colorcoded anchors and high strength UHMWPE Biofibers

Vim-Fix PK suture anchor (Knotted for Primary or Medial row)

The Vim-Fix PK is a fully threaded suture anchor featuring dual threads to maximize cortical and cancellous fixation, has a covered saddle tip to protect the sutures and is cannulated to channel growth factors. The Vim-Fix PK anchor is manufactured with PEEK material which is a thermoplastic material with excellent biocompatibility and biostability characteristics.

Mini-Vim PK suture anchors (PEEK)

The Mini-Vim PK suture anchors are available in a variety of sizing and suture options. The Mini-Vim PK is a nonabsorbable PEEK suture anchor with a material eyelet which provides superior abrasion resistance due to PEEK’s low coefficient of friction. Anchor insertion and delivery are made simple by drilling through a spear and inserting the anchor through the same spear into the drilled hole.

Mini-Vim suture anchors (Titanium)

The Mini-Vim suture anchors are titanium anchors available in 2.8mm and 3.5mm diameters and come preloaded with USP #2 BioFiber suture. In most cases, the implant can bemanually inserted using the handled version. A drill is available for use in hard bone if desired. For arthroscopic applications, the Mini-Vim anchor can be inserted through the small diameter Mini-Vim spear eliminating the need for a cannula. This is ideal for SLAP and subscapularis repairs where a small stab incision and percutaneous delivery of the implant is preferred.

Biofiber

Biofiber is a braided sterile surgical fiberwire prepared from fibres of ultra high molecular weight, long chain linear polyethylene.
Special features
• Excellent strength: 10 times stronger
than steel on a weighted basis.
• High flex strength.
• 10 times more abrasion resistance
when compared to polyester.

Cannula Introducer

• Reusable obturator available in diameter 8mm.
• Compatible with standard length Arthrex®/Stryker®
8mm cannulas.

Crochet Hook

• A simple tool that performs well in tight spaces to retrieve Biofiber loops during arthroscopic Bankart, SLAP, rotator cuff, or any suturing procedure.
• The smooth tip prevents abrasion of Biofiber strands.
• Ergonomic handle facilitates instrument manipulation in the wet arthroscopic environment.
• The push-pull design was designed to push Biofiber knots and/or retrieve Biofibers with the same instrument.

Labral Probe

• The tip of the probe can be used to test the strength of a soft tissue repair or to probe defects.
• Enables the surgeon to easily insert an instrument through a small stab incision in soft tissue.

Suture Retriever

• Designed for atraumatic Biofiber retrieval and manipulation during arthroscopic procedures.
• The jaws create a closed loop which allows the Biofibers to slide freely during suture extraction.

• Removable trocar and fish-mouth tip allows precise control and accurate anatomical placement of the anchors on the glenoid rim, in one simple step.
• The small diameter shaft with trocar facilitates percutaneous placement of anchors without the use of a cannula for SLAP repairs or a direct approach through the subscapularis
